Reality Therapy

Some Common Interventions:
The WDEP System
W (Wants): What do you want?
D (Doing): What are you doing to get what you want?
E (Evaluation): Is what you are doing helping you get what you want?
P (Planning): Create a SAMIC plan (Simple, Attainable, Measurable, Immediate, and Controlled by the student).
Creating the "Quality World" Exploration
Our Quality World is the "picture album" in our minds. This consists of the people, things, and beliefs that make us who we are and influence how we feel.
Example: "Describe for me your ideal school day?" or "Share with me what would make the perfect friend?"
Goal: By understanding what is in their Quality World, the student can begin to see what they are motivated by, which helps them align their behaviors with their needs.
